What is Psychotherapy?

It is my deep belief that we all have the right to a happy and meaningful existence. Life throws us cruel and unexpected curveballs, but, like in the wild, there is always the potential for something beautiful to grow from the most desolate of places.

Psychotherapy can guide you in the way of such growth. It can support you in deeply transforming old wounds and conditioning. Illuminate the way towards more connected and intimate relationships (with both yourself and others). Improve your feelings of confidence and self-worth, and gently peel away the layers of your experiences to put you in touch with your authentic self.

It does not need to be a dark and relentless interrogation of the past. It is nourishing, optimistic and forward-gazing, and the gateway to healing and lasting change.

If you are you struggling with feelings of depression or anxiety, living through challenging life transitions like bereavement, pregnancy or divorce, having difficulties in your romantic relationship or unable to move on from past experiences, or there is just ‘something’ that is preventing you from leading the life you wish for yourself; psychotherapy can change your course and help you write a new story for your future.

How we will work together

As a transpersonal psychotherapist I work within a heart-centred and relationship-focussed framework.

Depending on who you are and what you need, I may combine more traditional psychotherapy with therapeutic coaching, mindset and spiritual or nature-based counselling.

I will be encouraging you to consider all aspects of your life. We will explore the issues that are challenging you now, but may also talk about your childhood, how you feel about life’s big questions, who you have become and who you want to be.

I provide a warm, safe and non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever you need. We will use our time together to forge a path towards a happier, more fulfilling life.

Where we meet

I practice from my home in the beautiful village of Shere in the Surrey Hills, and also from the elegant Owl Practice in central Guildford. Both are peaceful places where we can meet in confidence and comfort, and make use of the outdoor world if the moment takes us.

I also offer sessions online or by phone. While working in person provides a certain dynamic, I have found that remote sessions offer a different kind of energy that can be equally as transformative.

So, no matter where in the world you are or how you have found me, I’d love to hear from you.
